Carl Luna is the founding partner of Luna & Luna, LLP. Carl formed the firm in 1968 and remains active in all of the firm's operations. A seasoned attorney, Carl has expertise in a broad range of fields and serves a diverse group of clients. Carl works diligently to support clients in the many aspects of both residential and commercial real estate transactions.
Mr. Luna received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University. During his time in College Station, Carl played football for the legendary Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant. Carl went on to earn his Juris Doctorate degree from Baylor University and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1962. Additionally, he holds an Escrow Agency License in Oklahoma and an Escrow Officer License in the State of Texas.
Scott L. Luna is the Managing Partner of Luna & Luna, LLP, a Texas Law Firm that services three-fourths of the State of Texas as a Closing Agent for the U.S. Department of HUD. In addition, Scott also serves as the current President of the Oklahoma Land Title Association. Luna’s firm has document preparation units in multiple cities, serving multi-state clients in document preparation needs. He is also Owner of Vinita Title Company, in Vinita, OK and Co-Owner of Tahlequah Abstract & Title Co., Inc. and Cherokee Capitol Title & Abstract, LLC, both in Tahlequah, OK.
Mr. Luna received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa in 1991. He was admitted to practice law in Texas during the same year. Scott is a member of the Texas Bar Association, Oklahoma Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, Nebraska Bar Association, Federal Bar Association and the American Bar Association and is admitted to practice before all Courts in these states. Scott holds an Escrow Agency License in Texas and Oklahoma, is licensed as an Escrow Officer in Texas and is a member the Texas Land Title Association.
David Munden is an associate with Luna & Luna, LLP, where he leads the title document preparation division. David’s practice is focused on working with title companies to facilitate residential and commercial closings. David has experience in drawing contracts of sale, leases, deeds, lender documents, and probate documents necessary for the disposition of real property.
David received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography from the University of Texas at Austin in 2010. David earned his Juris Doctorate from The University of Texas School of Law, graduating with honors in 2013. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2013.
J. Lance Hopkins is an associate attorney with Luna & Luna, LLP . Mr. Hopkins has expertise is in all areas of real estate law, including title examination, commercial and residential real estate transactions, litigation, and matters involving Native American Tribal land. Lance is licensed to practice law in multiple jurisdictions, including the States of Texas, Missouri, and Oklahoma, the District of Columbia, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Northern Districts of Oklahoma, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and Tenth Circuit.
Mr. Hopkins received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Oklahoma in 1989, and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa in 1992. From 1993 through 1996, he worked in the Federal Relations Department of the American Petroleum Institute in Washington, D.C. Lance has been involved in the private practice of real estate law among other legal areas since 1997.
